Who we are looking for

A Mechanical Engineer to assist in the management and maintenance of a range of Mechanical services installed at our residential properties.

You will be an experienced Engineer operating in a similar Facilities Management role delivering mechanical systems maintenance and repairs with a team of other qualified engineers. You will have the required ability to produce procedure reports on suppliers and other engineers, developing relationships to achieve the company objectives. Detailed in analytics and design with the ability to communicate to developers and project designers to ensure the finished mechanical systems are both fit for purpose and are maintainable.

Preferred skills and experience

City and Guilds or equivalent held in a Mechanical discipline.
Possession of appropriate CSCS grading/accreditation or equivalent.
Good computer skills (MS Office) along with strong analytical skills and problem solving ability.
Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
Experience of BMS systems, planned and reactive maintenance.
Experience of creating task plans and procedural documents.
Experience of working to appropriate health and safety standards and regulations.
Experience in troubleshooting installations, fault finding, and repairs.
Flexible approach to working with the ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.

Main Responsibilities

Organising the engineering teams & subcontractors to deliver planned and reactive maintenance on critical plant.
Producing detailed work plans and procedures to assist mobile engineers for maintenance.
Coordinating with the project delivery teams, providing technical expertise for new and existing projects.
Participating in an on call rota.
Ensuring all components and Mechanical plant are correctly installed and within specifications to ensure legislative compliance and life expectancy.
Providing first line fix and isolations to existing Mechanical plant and installations.
Preparing CAPEX and OPEX expenditure budgets for your area.
Monitoring performance, activity and conduct of contractors and visiting engineers.
Producing, managing and maintaining critical spares lists.
